Cities Climate Action Webinars
- Setting Effective Priorities, Plus Two Case Studies: This webinar focused on leading-edge climate actions implemented in New York City and in Berkeley, California. Danielle Manley, Policy Manager with the Urban Green Council (based in NYC), described NYC’s revolutionary Climate Mobilization Act. Ammon Regan, City of Berkeley’s Sustainability Program Coordinator, described the city’s Building Energy Saving Ordinance. The webinar also showcased two resources created by PCA, a workbook for choosing and prioritizing climate actions, and a list of steps for cities engaging in climate action planning. - Tackling the Biggest GHG Impacts: In this webinar, speakers Chris Benedict and Dr. Alexandre Milovanoff discussed addressing greenhouse gas emissions from existing buildings and the transportation sector, which together account for 70 to 90 percent of emissions in our cities. (February 20, 2021)
