A variety of people with a heart for preserving nature and protecting us from climate change.
- Youth who are interested in sustainability, environment, and a positive future
- Retired teacher, land use planner, physician, master gardener, fisheries degree holder, forest restoration professional, hike leader, public land acquisition advocate
- Members of related groups—Issaquah Alps Trails Club, Friends of Issaquah Salmon Hatchery, Mountains to Sound Greenway, Citizens Climate Lobby
- Issaquah City Councilors and members of Issaquah Environmental and Human Services Board
How you can take action with us:
LEARN the most effective ways to reduce greenhouse gases through:
- Meeting presentations and webinars
- Online resources
- Volunteer opportunities
REDUCE greenhouse gas emissions 50% by 2030 by helping Issaquah:
- Implement its Climate Action Plan
- Update its Land Use and Building Regulations
- Participate in programs to transition from fossil fuels to clean renewable energy
ADVOCATE for climate action with elected officials, staff, and community boards through::
- Regular conversations and discussions
- Written and oral comments at public meetings
- Local and Regional Surveys
- Participation in community events and programs
